You will feel lonely, You will feel like you don’t belong, You will make friends and You will have to put yourself out there.

1. You will feel lonely
Even though you might constantly be around people, feeling lonely is a reiterating feeling that no one admits. Even if you stay with people, home can get kind of lonely. But, you really aren’t alone in feeling this way.
2. You will feel like you don’t belong
At the beginning of uni, at most points in time you will feel out of place. Don’t let this feeling take the better of you. Most people around you are also feeling this way and maybe we can all help each other out. You will find a group of people that you feel you belong with in some way.
3. You will make friends.
It can be tough leaving high school, coming to a new city and having to make friends all over again. Everyone goes through this and you will find “YOUR PEOPLE”. Friendships are organic and they will happen. Often times you need to put yourself out there and get to know people. Personally, I was also struggling in the beginning of uni, but as time went by I met people in my classes, my societies and at night clubs. IT WILL HAPPEN, BUT IT WILL TAKE TIME. You are going to have multiple different groups of friends, each friend or a friend group brings to the front the different traits that you possess.
4. You will have to put yourself out there
In the beginning it can be nerve-racking to go out of your comfort zone, but without leaving this zone you will never be able to experience what University actually needs to offer. Go try out activities that you never tried before but have always wanted to. Universities have so many different societies and you can try them and leave them whenever you want. So, take the advantage of what the university has to offer. GO ALONE, and explore what you need.
Everyone has their own share of struggles (so be kind) . – Unknown
