Abandoned Chimopar Factory that lets you discover the unbelievable graffiti.

This is definitely not a typical tourist hot spot, but being a fan of art, this was a perfect place to explore the modern, artistic side of Bucharest. Due to a lack of resources there are multiple locations in Bucharest which are half built. The local artists take an advantage of these bare canvases and leave a part of themselves behind.

Chimopar is an abandoned factory. Once you get to the place, there is a security guard outside as some parts of the factory are still running. Don’t get scared about this, just tell the guards that you want to take some pictures and you will be out soon. They cooperate and usually let the tourists in to enjoy the location.

The location is vast and there are many buildings that you can climb, to witness the hollow insides of the buildings. I went there with a friend, so it was enjoyable taking some fun photographs and also enjoying the abandoned architecture, which is a form of art itself. It took us less than 30mins to get there from the the city centre and we ended up spending about an hour exploring and taking pictures. About 45 MINUTES is enough to get around the whole location.
